Install and configure Luméo on a server

The essential steps for inviting Luméo, starting the initial setup, and verifying that the server is ready.

Before installation

The person inviting Luméo must have the permissions required to manage the server and should review the permissions requested while adding the bot.

Step 1 — Use the official invitation

Use only the invitation button provided on the official Luméo website. Verify the selected server before confirming the addition.

Step 2 — Review permissions

Grant only the permissions needed by the modules that will actually be used. Luméo should not receive a more powerful role than necessary.

Step 3 — Start configuration

Use /setup to open the initial configuration. Enable the desired modules, choose the useful channels, and verify the authorized roles.

Step 4 — Test essential features

After configuration:

  • open the Administration Hub;
  • check the logging channel if it is enabled;
  • test a User feature with a member account;
  • verify that disabled modules are not offered;
  • verify that the server appears in synchronized areas of the website when that feature is used.

Multi-server isolation

Each server has its own configuration and data. A change made here must never change another community's configuration.
