Principle
A community game brings 2 to 10 players together around the same questions. The organizer is registered automatically and chooses the rules before registration opens.
Prepare the channel
The server must have a configured channel where Luméo can:
- view the channel;
- send messages;
- embed links;
- read message history.
Luméo clearly rejects an incomplete destination so a game cannot become stuck midway through.
Open registration
The public panel lets members join or leave the game. The list is updated without creating multiple competing panels in the same channel.
Only the organizer can start or cancel the game. Permissions and context are checked for every action.
Start the game
The organizer's rules apply to all participants: topic, difficulty, length, and timer. Shared questions are selected without duplicates and then frozen for the game.
Answer
The question is public, but each player submits their answer privately. Only one answer per player is accepted.
When the timer ends or the round is graded, Luméo posts the correct answer and then the provisional ranking in a new panel at the bottom of the thread.
End of the game
After the final question, Luméo calculates the final ranking, handles ties, and records the server's community statistics.
A completed or canceled game must not leave any active state. If the bot restarts, a persisted game can resume or be graded automatically if its deadline has already expired.
