Manage modules, channels, and permissions

Enable useful features, choose channels, and restrict each tool to roles that are actually authorized.

General principle

The Administration area allows the server owner and authorized team members to adapt Luméo to their community's needs.

Modules

A disabled module must no longer be offered to members on the server. For modules synchronized with the website, availability also affects the pages and selectors available to relevant users.

Channels

Use separate channels when it improves clarity: announcements, logs, joins, departures, support, or game notifications. Cleanly remove or replace old configuration when a channel no longer exists.

Permissions and roles

  • reserve administrative features for trusted roles;
  • avoid granting a global permission when a targeted permission is sufficient;
  • test access with an account that does not have Administrator rights;
  • regularly review delegations that are no longer needed.

Automation and integrations

Onboarding, polls, and integration features should be enabled only after their channels have been selected and their required permissions verified.

Logging

Sensitive actions must remain traceable. Review the logs after an important change to confirm the author and the result of the operation.
