Available formats
Battles against Trainers or compatible encounters can use a Solo or Double format. In Double battles, two Pokémon are active on each side and every action must specify its target when required.
Turn order
Luméo orders actions by priority and then Speed. Moves can target one opponent, multiple targets, or an entire area. Some spread moves use a modifier suited to the Double format.
Choices and privacy
Action menus are private. Select a move, item, or switch, then confirm. A visually preselected option is not always submitted until you explicitly choose the action.
Fainting and replacement
After a Pokémon faints, Luméo asks for a replacement when another Pokémon can battle. In Double battles, replacements are handled separately for each position.
End of battle
HP, status conditions, XP, EVs, money, loot, and statistics are recorded only after the battle is actually processed. In Nuzlocke, permanent loss rules apply according to the profile.
