Play in Nuzlocke mode

Understand controlled encounters, permanent fainting, and stronger Nuzlocke confirmations.

A separate and demanding profile

Nuzlocke mode uses a completely independent save. Its rules can have permanent consequences, so it should be selected only after reading all warnings displayed by Luméo.

Main rules

  • a starter compatible with the mode;
  • one determined encounter per virtual area;
  • no reroll once an encounter has been set;
  • permanent loss of Pokémon covered by the fainting rule;
  • a journal of important events;
  • stronger confirmations for sensitive decisions.

Encounters by area

When an area assigns an encounter, the result is preserved. Closing the interface, waiting, or rerunning the command must not allow the offered Pokémon to be changed artificially.

Fainted Pokémon

A Pokémon considered lost under Nuzlocke rules must no longer be used as an active team member. Luméo keeps a record of the event to preserve save consistency.

Strict isolation

Healing, items, team, Box, money, Pokédex, and statistics remain separate from other modes. An administration tool must explicitly ask for the target save before any change.

Recommendations

Read every confirmation fully, avoid repeated clicks, and do not use a reset to bypass a normal consequence of the mode. If in doubt, check the journal before reporting an issue.
